How the seam works

Close-up of the seam, sliced
  • Outer shell
The hard case. Base and lid meet flush; the lid's lip laps the base, outside the shield.
  • Your faraday fabric
Trapped in a 0.6 mm gap between shell and liner, floor to rim. This is the shield.
  • Liner
The hard inner shell. Snaps into the outer shell over a bead and keeps what you store off the fabric.
  • Bezel
A rim cap on the base, a hem ring in the lid. Each pins a folded hem, so nothing is glued.
  • The seam
The base liner rises as a collar and the lid liner slides over it. Fabric meets fabric on the collar and again on the shoulder.
